I hate to do this, but I have some bad news for international customers, those in the UK specifically. On January 1, 2021, a new law will go into effect that forces all sellers outside of the UK to register with the UK to get a VAT ID and file VAT related paperwork on a regular basis. As many know, tax laws in the country you live in can be confusing enough as it is. Unfortunately, I won’t have the bandwidth to take this on as I am still working a full time job as well as running Kimchi Kawaii.

I am aware that some selling platforms, like Etsy are collecting and submitting VAT for their sellers which is a huge help to small business owners like me. I do not have an Etsy, but I did have a shop through Storenvy for a while. I’m waiting to hear from them if they will do similar. If so, UK customers will be able to buy through that link. I’ll let everyone know as soon as I hear anything.

In the meantime, I’ve marked down international shipping to Europe as half off to help anyone who wants to complete their collections. The discount is automatic and will be valid through 12/31/20.
